This topic provides an overview of a typical order process at a staffing company. Your site's process may differ slightly. Before you can complete the steps in this process, all setup must be complete. 

Orders can be placed online, or manually entered through the New Temp Order Wizard.

Note: For repetitive or common orders, a Master Order template can be created and copied from.

 

New Order status:

• Online status = New
• Manual entry status = Open

Order is Manually Entered

After a job order is placed by a customer, a user can enter it into Avionté through the New Temp Order Wizard.

Information needed for a new order might include:

• Included in the Wizard:
  • Basic Information: Worksite Address, Job Title, Pay/Bill Rates
  • Extra Information: Safety Equipment , Dress Code
  • Job Description: A user entered detailed description
  • Order Schedule: Start/End Date, Required number of employees
• Not included in the Wizard:
  • Skills: Typing, Forklift Operation (Important when using Auto match)
  • Requirements: Drug Screens, Background Check
  • Certifications: Indicate any certifications necessary for the job (I9, driver’s license)
  • Contact Roles: Ordered by, Report to, Supervisor

Job is posted from the web

A Job can be created electronically by a customer using the Customer Web Portal.

Information needed for a portal submitted order might include:

• Address: Location for the job posting
• Position: Position needing filling
• Description: A detailed description of the job
• Dates: Start/End Date, Days Required
• Candidates Required: Number of positions to be filled
• Shift: What shift is being worked
• Rates: The billing and pay rate for the position

Order is reviewed

User reviews order for accuracy:

• Verify the pay and bill rates
• Verify the start date
• Verify number required
• If necessary, the job status should be changed to reflect its status
  Note: All of these steps can alternatively be done through the Details subsection.

• Job Order is posted to the web to increase applicant pool

Candidates are identified and notified

Staffing personnel identify the most suitable candidates using Avionté's Search, Auto Match, or Candidates features and notify them as necessary.

Prerequisites for the order process

• In order to post a job to the web a user must have Job boards and optionally Career Builder set up in Admin Tools.
• In order to manually change a job status the Config Option DefaultAutoUpdateOrderStatus must be set to False.
• In order to submit a job opening from the portal a customer must have a open job position set up in the core application.
