Print and Email Start Sheet from New Assignment

This article describes the process of setting the Config Options required to allow Avionté users to either print or email Start Sheets to employees as part of creating a new assignment.

Configure Avionté to Print a Start Sheet from a New Assignment

Avionté makes it possible to print a Start Sheet immediately after creating a new assignment. This requires setting the PrintOrEmailValueForAssignmentStartSheetOnNewAssignment config option to "print".

 

 

Set Config Option to Allow User to Print Start Sheet from New Assignment

This process describes the steps required to enable an Avionté user to print a Start Sheet when creating a new assignment.

  1. Navigate to the Start page.

  2. Click the Actions menu.

  3. Select Admin Tools.

  4. Click System.

  5. Double-click Config Option in the right pane. The System | Config Option window displays.

  6. Click the Config Option By FKName tab.

  7. In the Property field, enter "StartSheet" to perform a search of the option properties.



  8. Click on PrintOrEmailValueForAssignmentStartSheetOnNewAssignment in the grid to select it.



  9. In the Select Config Option Value section, enter "print" in the ConfigOptionValue column for the supplier organization.

  10. For this change to take effect, each affected Avionté user must restart the application. Click the Avionté button in the upper-left corner of the Avionté window.

  11. Click Restart Application.

Print a Start Sheet from a New Assignment

This section describes the process for printing a Start Sheet when creating a new assignment.

 

  1. Create a new assignment. See Assign to learn about creating a new assignment from the Employee Main Menu or Assign New to learn about creating a new assignment from the Order Main Menu.

  2. When the Finish button is clicked in the New Assignment Wizard, a confirmation dialog box will appear. Click Yes to view the Start Sheet in a Report Viewer window.



  3. Click the Print button in the ReportViewer window.



  4. From the Print dialog window, select the printer to be used.



  5. Click the Print button.

Configure Avionté to Email a Start Sheet from a New Assignment

 

Create Email profile

An email profile is required for the option to auto-email the Start Sheet to be available. For more information about creating an email profile, see Actions Menu - Email Profile.

 

 

Set Config Option to Allow User to Email Start Sheet to Employee

This process describes the steps required to enable the Start Sheet auto-email functionality. See Config Option - EmailAssignmentStartSheetOnNewAssignment for more information about this setting.

  1. Navigate to the Start page.

  2. Click the Actions menu.

  3. Select Admin Tools.

  4. Click System.

  5. Double-click Config Option in the right pane. The System | Config Option window displays.

  6. Click the Config Option By FKName tab. 

  7. In the Property field, enter "StartSheet" to perform a search of the option properties.

  8. Click on EmailAssignmentStartSheetOnNewAssignment in the grid to select it.  

  9. In the Select Config Option Value section, enter "True" in the ConfigOptionValue column for the employer organization.

  10. For this change to take effect, each affected Avionté user must restart the application. Click the Avionté button in the upper-left corner of the Avionté window.

  11. Click Restart Application.

Email a Start Sheet from a New Assignment

This section describes the process for printing a Start Sheet when creating a new assignment.

  1. Create a new assignment. See Assign to learn about creating a new assignment from the Employee Main Menu or Assign New to learn about creating a new assignment from the Order Main Menu.

  2. When the user clicks Finish, a confirmation dialog will appear. Click Yes.



  3. A new email is sent to the employee with the Start Sheet attached.
