Config Option - SetCustomerDailyTransaction

Overview

The SetCustomerDailyTransaction configuration option controls whether the "Generate Daily Time Entry" checkbox is selected by default when creating new companies. This setting determines if daily transaction types (Regular and Overtime hours) appear in the day tab for time entry. For Back Office integrated clients, this setting applies to company records created only in AviontéBOLD.

Valid Values

True: The "Generate Daily Time Entry" checkbox is selected by default when creating new companies. Daily Reg and OT transaction types will appear in the day tab for time entry.

False: The "Generate Daily Time Entry" checkbox is not selected by default. Users must manually enable this option for each company if needed.

When to Use This Setting

Enable SetCustomerDailyTransaction (set to True) if:

  • Most or all of your companies require daily time entry for Reg and OT hours
  • You want to streamline company setup by having this option pre-selected
  • Your standard time entry workflow uses the day tab rather than weekly entry

Keep SetCustomerDailyTransaction disabled (False) if:

  • Only some companies require daily time entry
  • You prefer to enable this option selectively on a per-company basis
  • Most of your time entry is done through weekly views

How to Configure

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools
  2. Select Config Option
  3. Click on Site
  4. Locate Branch Setting
  5. Find SetCustomerDailyTransaction
  6. Set to True to enable or False to disable
  7. Save your changes
Note: This setting is applied per office (Branch Setting). When creating a company in BOLD, the configuration for the company's assigned office determines whether "Generate Daily Time Entry" is enabled by default.

Where the Setting Appears

After creating a new company, you can verify this setting in the company record:

  1. Open the company record
  2. Navigate to Sales and Service section
  3. Click the Service Info tab
  4. Look for the "Generate Daily Time Entry" checkbox

If SetCustomerDailyTransaction is set to True for the company's office, this checkbox will be selected by default for new companies. Daily Reg and OT transaction types will then appear automatically in the Day tab of Time Entry without requiring manual setup.
