Config Choice - available via Start Page > Actions menu > Admin Tools > Category = System > Config Choice - is used to choose what is included in drop-down menus throughout the Avionté Core application.

For instance, if the Config Choice AgencyDocumentType is configured to include "Billing Invoice" and "Document," the Main Menu's Agency > Documents section will include the drop-down menu choices "Billing Invoice" and "Document." This article provides a detailed description of each Config Choice property, organized by category as they appear in Admin Tools.
Edit Choice Properties
- Open Admin Tools (Ctrl + L, or in Start Page > Actions menu).
- Under Admin Tools > System, double-click Config Choice.
- Click the ChoiceProperty tab.
- Go to the Category list and select the name of the desired drop-down menu to be configured.
- If you don’t know the Category name, go to the Detail tab. Find the Choice Code column in the upper grid, and try searching that column for one of the choices in the desired drop-down list. Note the associated Category.
- To avoid having to scroll through a long drop-down list, just start typing the Category name (or a portion of the name) in the Category search field.
- With the Category name selected, the grid below populates with the Choice Codes for that Category.
- If you only need to change the properties for a single branch, select that branch in the Select Branch list.
- Edit the Properties columns to reflect the desired behavior associated with the drop-down choice:
- (Optional:) Use the row below the column headers to filter the grid.
- Click in a cell to edit the property for that field.
- Note: Each Category has its own set of associated properties.
- (Optional:) Use the row below the column headers to filter the grid.
- After editing, press Tab to save the new value.
- If you would like to change a property for all branches:
- Select the “Apply changes to all Branches” check box.
- Make the desired edit in the grid, then press Tab.
- A confirmation window will ask, “Are you sure you want to apply the change for all Branches?”
- Click Yes to proceed.
Note: If you click No, the change is still made to the single edited field. - The change to that property will be made for all instances of that choice code, across all branches.
