Accessing the New Revenue Opportunity wizard

Adding a new revenue opportunity is possible using the New Revenue Opportunity wizard. The New Revenue Opportunity wizard is accessible:
  1. From the New Revenue Opportunity button located on the upper-left corner of the Revenue Opportunity item in the Customer section.

  2. From the New Revenue Opportunity button located on the upper-left corner of the Revenue Opportunity item of the Contact section.

 

 

Using the wizard

  1. Open the New Revenue Opportunity wizard by clicking the New Revenue Opportunity button from any Revenue Opportunity sub-tree item.



  2. The New Revenue Opportunity wizard allows you to create a revenue opportunity and assign details to it.

  3. Revenue Info section contains the basic details on the opportunity.

    • Revenue Name: Enter a name for the revenue opportunity.
    • Revenue Description: Enter a description for this revenue opportunity.
    • Status: Select a status for this opportunity.
    • Expected Revenue: Enter a dollar amount for the expected revenue generated by this lead.
    • Revenue Period: Select the period (Default: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly) for this opportunity.

    • Revenue Competition: A free-text field for competition on this revenue opportunity.

  4. Revenue Forecasting section contains information about the projected closing of an opportunity.

    • Sales Close Level: Select a percentage of completion towards closing this revenue opportunity.
    • Expected Close Date: Select the date this opportunity is expected to be closed on from the date picker.

  5. Revenue Dates contains information on the start and end of a opportunity.

    • Start Date: Select the start date for the opportunity from the date picker.
    • End Date: Select the end date for the opportunity from the date picker.

  6. The information for the user and the contact and order associated with the opportunity are on the right side.

  7. Click the Finish button to save the opportunity.
