Record notes about an order in the Message item of the Employee section. The section can also be accessed by clicking the Log Message button in the Shortcuts group on the Summary item of the Order section.
To enter a new message click the New Message button in the top-left corner of the page. The information can then be added into the page.
Add a Message
The New Message wizard allows a user to compose and perform actions with a message. These actions include sending it to multiple and varying entities, creating different types of messages, and setting a message as a task.
New Message Wizard
Access the New Message Wizard from:
Actions menu in the integrated Outlook window.
Message horizontal panel.
Log Message option on the Actions menu.
Message button in certain grids.
Message sub-tree section.
The New Message window will open with related entities attached.
In Message, enter the following:
The action type for this message.
The description for this Action type.
A subject that will accompany the message.
The body text of the message.
In Make This, enter the following:
First Drop-Down Menu
The type of communication (message, task, etc.)
Second Drop-Down Menu
The date of the communication.
In Message Link, enter the following:
Select additional items for this message to be attached to.
Select where to search for your desired item.
The value by which perform the search.
This drop-down menu will offer result selections based on Search Type and Search Text.
In the Attached To group, view all of the menu items to which this message will be attached.
Depending upon the window accessed, click the Finish or the Save Message button to save and submit this message.
