Standard AQ - Get Missing SOC Data

Overview

The Missing SOC Report Advanced Query (AQ) identifies Job Titles that are missing Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes, which are required for SUTA reporting in several states.

The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system is a federal statistical standard used by federal agencies to classify workers into occupational categories to collect, calculate, or disseminate data.

Current State Requirements

  • Alaska: Requires SOC codes
  • Indiana: Requires SOC codes
  • Louisiana: Requires SOC codes
  • South Carolina: Requires SOC codes (effective since Q1 2024)
  • Washington: Requires SOC codes (effective since Q4 2022)
  • West Virginia: Requires SOC codes

Report Description

The Missing SOC Report AQ:

    • Shows a list of all Skill Codes that don't have the Occupational Code associated with them
    • Includes all states that require SOC codes: AK, IN, LA, SC, WA, and WV
    • Produces a Greenshades file for WA SUI (implemented on 10/13/2022)
    • SOC = Standard Occupational Classification

Resolving issues on the Report

  1. Click on the Admin Tools button

  2. Click on Skill Code

  3. Search for the Skill Code
    • It's easier to search by SkillCodeID
  4. Go to the SOC LookUp section
  5. Choose the desired option; the code that most closely identifies the job title
  6. Click Save

Parameters

Parameter Name Options Description

Search Type

Missing Job Title, Occ. Code or Either Choose the type of search. If Missing Occ. Code is selected, the system checks for the following states: AK, IN, LA, SC, WA, and WV.

Date Type

Active Assignment,
Week Worked,
Check Date

Choose the Date Type from the available set of options

Start Date

Start Date Pulls the records starting from the date based on the selected value for the Date Type parameter

End Date

End Date Pulls the records Ending on the date based on the selected value for the Date Type parameter

State

All, AK, IN, LA, SC, WA, and WV (multi-select) Selecting 'All' will select all the states (AK, IN, LA, SC, WA, and WV)

Customer ID Pulls Customer ID from the order
CustomerName The name of the customer
DepartmentName The specific department in which the order was placed
StaffingOrderID Unique number assigned to the order
