Overview
The Address item of the Customer section is used to record pertinent addresses for the customer.
Add a Customer Address
To add a new address to the grid on the Address item of the Customer section click the New Address button on the upper-left corner of the window. This will clear any pre-existing information in the groups below.
The information that can be entered into those groups is:
Address Group
Field | Description | Additional Information |
Address Type | The type of address for this entry from the drop-down menu. | |
Country | The customer's country of residence. | |
Street 1 | The street address for this customer location. | |
Street 2 | The street address for this customer location. | |
City | The city where this address is located. | |
State/Province | The state or province for this customer location. | Note: This field will prepopulate and be greyed out. It will automatically update the field based once the geocode is selected for the address. |
Zip/Postal Code | The zip code or Canadian postal code for this customer location. | |
Geo Code | Code that corresponds to a particular geographic location. |
This field will auto-fill based on the address and the zip/postal code. Note: If a geocode does not populate, use an online map application (e.g. Google Maps) to verify the address information is precise. |
School District | The school district where the customer is located. | |
Short Name | An alternative name or nickname that describes the address or contact. This will be used on the web portals, specifically the Time Clock setup section. | |
Attn To | The name of the person or entity to which correspondence will be specifically addressed. | |
Sales Tax | The sales tax(es) applicable to the area where the customer is located. | Two sales taxes are allowed. There is one field but multiple selections are possible. This allows a customer to set up a city sales tax and a county sales tax, for example. |
PSD Code* | Pennsylvania - "Political Subdivision code". Six digit code that identifies municipalities such as cities, boroughs, and townships in Pennsylvania. | When the user accesses a School district field, the following tool tip displays: "By selecting school district you are determining the reporting and remitting PSD code. Due to the multiple selections available, http://munstats.pa.gov/Public/FindLocalTax.aspx must be used to assist in confirming an accurate PSD code for the address provided." |
Dress Code
Override Geocode
- Click the Override Resident Geocode checkbox to place a checkmark.
- Enter the Zip Code or Canadian postal code for the new Geo Code.
- Select the new Geo Code from the Geocode drop-down menu of the Override Resident Geocode.
Direction
Enter directions to the customer's location, or any notes regarding the customer's address, in this field.
Edit an Address
To edit an address, select it from the grid at the top of the window. The fields will auto-populate with information pertinent to the selected entry.
Data may now be entered into the fields as necessary.
Select the Save Address button in the upper-left corner of the window after editing is complete.
PSD Code (Pennsylvania Only)*
When the Customer/Order Address is configured with Zip, Geocode and School district, the system will return and display the system determine PSD code. This PSD code will also be reflected in Employee > Payroll > Tax > Tax Set Up > under the Non-Resident [Worksite] City Record under the PSD Column when the tax records are created.
